Water Damage – New Haven Home
Water damage occurred at this New Haven home due to a main water supply line breaking open, leaving a solid stream of water pouring to the ceiling below it. Water accumulated above the drywall ceiling until the weight of the wet drywall caused the ceiling to collapse to the floor below. The room was left with all of the previously trapped water, and the soaked drywall spread across the floor. SERVPRO of New Haven routinely provides 24/7 emergency services to our clients in need. We have industry certified crews standing by and trucks equipped with water damage restoration equipment ready to roll. Our technicians would locate the source of the water damage and facilitate repairs. They would then suction up any water and clean up the debris. Any damaged drywall left in the ceiling would be removed and disposed of properly. Commercial air movers and dehumidifiers would be set up to aid in the drying process of the project. Once all of the affected areas were dried and treated with an antifungal agent to inhibit any potential mold growth, the ceiling would be replaced.
